1. Pay off IRS...Done!
2. Pay off my small credit card...Done!
3. Pay off Jared's credit card...Working on it.
4. Pay off Jeep...so close I can taste it.
5. Continue to put money in savings. Such a great feeling to just slowly put money away for an emergency fund.
Funny how ten years ago it might have said things like new this and new that and today it says that I want to be debt free. I think that at my age it is good to start trying to get to a debt free place and that my goal is to be able to do as much as I can with just cash not credit or loans (besides a house).
My wish for you is to have a great day and to know that you are loved!

iPhone...
Well I wanted to do a little review of the iPhone now that I feel like I am able to work it. So far so good. I have the otter box cover and even though a lot of reviews said there would be an echo I have not had that problem. (Yet) So we will see. I love a lot of the applications you can down load. Music, exercise videos, games, puzzles, and a lot more. Though I have come across some questionable things that make me want to search for the parental controls that has been few and far between. I have also found a great app that lets me journal all my found and that has been so amazing because it even breaks down what sugars, fibers, etc. are in there so I know what I am getting. Next I want to find the new iPad computer and test it out!

I do feel sorry for Haiti...
I can not even imagine what the country of Haiti is dealing with and the total devastation is overwhelming...however I get so upset, sad, frustrated, angry when the "stars" take this chance to raise money for a country not our own. We have people here who could use millions of dollars pumped into shelters, food pantries, rebuilding towns that have been devastated, and into programs to educate our children so that they have every opportunity to go to college and get the jobs they want and need to live the best life they can. It is not that I do not think we should help...don't get me wrong we need to build others up. However, look around you. I am sure that driving to work you saw someone on the street who needs a home, there is probably a child in the school down the road from you that needs taken out of a bad situation, there is a family struggling to put food on the table and keep the roof over their head. I think that when we hear things like this in other countries we want to reach out and help and others which is what we should do but why are we not having telethons to help our own needy and starving people who have suffered through things that most of us could never imagine? Just saying we need to help our neighbors in our own neighborhood not just around the world.

5K say WHAT???
Okay so in order to get into the best shape I can be in I am working out more often and really watching what I eat. On this journey I knew I wanted to try new things and I wanted to share about one starting in a month. I am joining a groupfor women who want to learn to walk, jog, or run in a 5K. We meet twice a week for ten weeks and then in May I will participate in a 5K run in Conway (just 40 minutes north of me). I am so pumped to be starting this journey and be on the look out for new posts once the training starts. I am going to keep everyone updated on this because I think it is something I never thought I could do.Enjoy your Monday!

A morning in the life of me :)
Well I have been getting on the treadmill...not as many days a week as I want but I am building up. Mostly I am so excited that i have been keeping up with everything I eat and the calories and all the other things in it so I am more accountable for what I eat and how much I burn off in a day. I am getting better at taking the stairs at work and I am making sure to take short walks even if it is just around the building so that I am staying active. YAY! Feeling good.
Jared is working on some menus so that we 1. have a game plan for the week and stop spending so much time figuring out what to eat and 2. it will make going to the grocery store a little easier because we have a game plan when we walk in.
The weather here is insane but for Arkansas is about par for the course. It is warming up and has pretty much been above 55 for the last few days though now it is monsoon season! Storms all night and rainy all day. But, I am thinking that will make for some beautiful flowers this spring.
I have cleaned off my desk today because I have a few days ahead of me that will be very busy. I am updating forms and doctor orders here to make sure we are up to date at work and really I lucked into this task because I am really caught up on my regular work. It is nice to be busy it really helps the days go by fast.
OKAY now I am done posting for today...sheesh!

and their off!
We went to Oaklawn last weekend. My wonderful husband has never been and aside from the rain it was great. We lucked out and found great (and cheap) parking. I saw parking prices from $10 to $45! Insane. But, we got it for $5, and no it was not ten miles from the track.
It was opening weekend so to start with there were about 20,000 people there and it was .50 corn beef sandwiches and .10 cokes! So we ate for less than $2 which is amazing.
The horses there are so beautiful. I think that they are so sleek and almost regal. It was great. We did not win a lot but we did not lose it all either so we did okay. Plus we went on a budget. Next time I would like to go with a little more money but I guess that was an easy way not to get heart broken when you lose it all ha. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
Oh and the last picture is another horse and rider.
